Nova Norell is a tailor based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her passion for sewing has been a constant throughout her life, beginning in her childhood and evolving into a dedicated career. After several years of honing her craft at Gothenburg's Tillskärarakademin, she graduated in 2024 with a journeyman's certificate in men’s tailoring.
Nova has gained diverse experience in the field. During her studies, she completed an internship with Sara Fay in London, a bespoke tailor whose work includes films such as Downton Abbey and Death on the Nile. While at Sara Fay, Nova contributed to the stage costumes for the musical Hamilton. She has also worked as a costume designer, tailor and pattern maker for the production company Unibros Production. Who creates immersive performance for the audience of Sweden's largest theme parks, like Kolmården, Gröna Lund and Furuvik.
For her graduation project, Nova designed and tailored the outfits for professional swing dancers Nils Andrén and Bianca Locatelli, who competed in the International Lindy Hop Championship in New York. This project showcased her ability to create clothing that combines functionality, aesthetic appeal, and performance needs.
